The Ironclad
$340
4-6-2 Pacific Locomotive
Our flagship engine. Black walnut boiler, hard maple bands, turned brass bell — the piece the whole collection is built around.

Handmade in Midlothian, TX · First production run
Solid North American hardwood. Cut, shaped and oiled by hand, one at a time — no plywood, no plastic, no printed decals. The kind of toy that gets handed to the next child instead of thrown away.
Pieces from $95 · Complete sets from $845 · 3–6 week build time

The Collection
Every car couples to every other car in brass, so a set bought one birthday at a time still runs as one train ten years later.

$225
0-6-0 Yard Switcher
A stout little cherry switcher with a squared-off cab. Shorter wheelbase, tighter turns, easier for small hands.

$215
Boxcar Trio
Three boxcars in three species — maple, cherry, walnut — each with a brass-tracked sliding door that actually slides.

from $160
Personalized Name Train
One letter car per letter, cut from alternating hardwoods, led by a small engine. Priced from $160 for four letters.

The Workshop
No assembly line and no outsourced parts. Whoever rips the board mills the wheels, pares the boiler, breaks every edge and rubs in the oil on that same train — it is never handed down a line. Another bench means more trains in a month, never a faster train, which is why the tool marks on yours are slightly different from the one before it.

“It is not a display piece. It is a floor toy that happens to be worth keeping.”
Custom Work
A grandfather's locomotive number. A logging camp that no longer exists. A birth date carved into the tender. We take roughly a dozen commissions a quarter and we quote from a sketch, a photo or a story.
Wholesale & Corporate
Independent toy stores, museum shops, children's boutiques and corporate gifting programs. Keystone wholesale pricing, a low first order, and no credit application to fill in.
How it works
01
Add pieces to a quote request, or describe a commission. We answer every enquiry within two business days with a firm price and a build date — not a range.
02
Three to six weeks depending on the piece. You get a photo off the bench before it is oiled, and nothing ships until you have seen it.
03
Packed in a kraft gift box, in wood excelsior, inside a double-wall carton. Free ground shipping in the lower 48 on orders over $250.

The first run
We are opening the bench to a first group of customers and stockists. The queue is short and Christmas orders close in the first week of October. A quote costs nothing and holds nothing against you.
